Natural Bridal Makeup by Louise Goodson

Hi guys, its Louise here! I help Alex mix up some of the gorgeous potions in the NINI Organics studio and I am also a Makeup Artist. So, I thought I would share some of my top makeup tips using natural & organic skincare and makeup.

NINI’s Natural Bridal Makeup Look

Wedding season is upon us and whether you are the bride to be, bridesmaid or wedding guest this gorgeous, soft, romantic bridal makeup look using all natural and organic products from The House of Green Beauty is timeless, super easy to achieve and packed full of gorgeous skin foods that will make your skin glow and look gorgeous in pictures.

This look is all about the skin paired with a subtle, soft smokey eye, classic liner, lots of lashes and luscious pinkie/nude lips.

SKIN PREP:

As we are all about the skin here at NINI Organics it is important to prep the skin well to give the makeup a good base to begin with.

If you have the chance on the morning of the wedding take a moment to steam your face using NINI Organics Flower Lagoon Facial Steam, not only does this leave your skin gorgeously soft and smooth it also allows you a moment of calm and a chance to breathe in the gorgeous scent of calming flowers & herbs on a potentially nerve wracking morning!

Follow this with the NINI Coffee and Cacao Face Scrub or Natura Miracle Mask (if you have allowed plenty of skin prep time!) Next give your skin a good spritz with the Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator, which can also be used as your fixing spray to set your makeup at the end. Whilst your skin is still damp massage in gently Twelve Beauty Moisture Level Serum, which acts as a great base prior to makeup and is a must have in my kit.

To achieve that gorgeous bridal glow, I follow this with NINI Organics Glow Oil. Give the bottle a couple of shakes to get that glow activated! I also use this as a highlighter tapped onto the cheekbones for a fresher, dewy look over the foundation.

Finish by prepping your lips with Twelve Beauty’s Hyaluroil Lip treatment for instant hydration and plumpness.

BASE:

Once you have prepped your skin its time to start on the base. Use 14e Cosmetics Aloe Nourish Prime & Set Powder buffed into the skin using a buffing brush to blur and smooth fine lines & pores and to help the makeup last all day. This powder can double up as your setting powder at the end or to use for touch ups to get rid of shine throughout the day.

Using a foundation brush apply Sappho’s Essential Foundation, which gives a light to medium finish, and is perfect for those that like their foundation to be buildable. This foundation is great for bridal makeup as it feels super weightless and gives you a fresh, dewy, flawless finish.

Next up conceal any blemishes or problem areas with Absolution Le Multicorrecteur using your fingertips or a small concealer brush.

TOP TIP: If you have problems with dark circles you could use shade No.10 Le Multicorrecteur from Absolution. This is an apricot tone and acts as a colour corrector and is brilliant at brightening dull skin.

Warm up the skin using Honeypie Minerals Sun kissed bronzer to give a gorgeous healthy glow. Apply to your cheekbones, jaw line and the highest points of your face - such as your forehead, nose and temples using a dome shaped bronzer brush.

Using your fingertips apply a small amount of cream blush - 14e Cosmetic’s Aloe Nourish Lip + Cheek in Sunrise to the apples of your cheeks, blending gently upwards - a little goes a long way with this product, so you only need a little bit!

Finish off your base by blending a subtle highlight to the top of your cheekbones and to your cupid’s bow using Sappho’s Shimmer with your finger. This looks super pretty when reflected in the light. TOP TIP: Use this in the inner corner of your eye to open and brighten the eyes and for a subtle shimmer.

EYES:

As a base for the eyes I use Honeypie Minerals loose mineral eyeshadow in Mushroom, which is a soft taupe coloured eyeshadow, buff in using a small eyeshadow brush. In the outer crease of the eye using a blending brush apply Honeypie Minerals shadow in Chocolate Brown, blending until you get a soft edge.

Apply Absolution Sweet & Safe Eyeliner along the upper lash line. Finish off with some generous coats of Absolution Sweet & Safe Mascara, wiggling in at the roots of the lash and gliding upwards, for long, thick dark luscious lashes.

For defined brows brush up the brows with a brow comb, for natural but groomed brows. Alternatively, you can use Sappho Brow Pomade to create a more defined brow using an angled brush.

LIPS:

Finish the look with Absolution Le Sorbet Dusky Rose 05 - a gorgeous, semi-matte, natural pink lipstick.

So, there you have it lovers a gorgeous, romantic, natural makeup look for your Big Day that is timeless and easy to recreate using all natural and organic products packed full of super skin foods!
